Monday, August 30th 2010 — A couple of custom slideshow components we contributed to the development of are live on the University of Southern Mississippi website. Check 'em out!

The first slideshow is featured on the university front page. This was developed using jQuery and the cycle plugin wrapped into a custom Drupal module. One of it's unique qualities (and challenges) is the request for "Bing" style icons per slide that fade in when a user mouses close to them. Little semitransparent word bubbles appear containing various messages when they're moused over.

The second slideshow is on the Student Life section. The Views Slideshow module is extended in this instance using another custom built module in order to place floating links and other text per slide.
